F4e mem patch update#
I have had these crashes since the 15th to the18th however this morning I did another NIS Manual Update ( Huge)Īnd I havn't had this problem Today - STRANGE? Q Why did the System Crash Dump Analysis indicate it CRASHED during a BugCheck? Q Why was the Norton Folder also Removed - Did Norton think there was a Virus in there? Q Why did the Norton NIS task Crash and NIS FAIL completly if it wasn't Norton NIS? I don't like having strange Crashes on my System. NB Since several crashed the Patch Required Problem has gone away? So I downloaded the latest Norton Removal Tool and did a Complete Cleanup and New Install, Re Boot and went through the Update procedure again ( still had the Patch Required problem )
F4e mem patch install#
I downloaded NORTON NIS but when I tried to Re Install it FAILED, so I tried to Uninstall NIS as per normal but it also FAILED. I thought it may have beeen a virus attack? STRANGE THING > After the System Recovery everything seemed to be OK EXCEPT NORTON NIS was MISSING and the Folder with the NORTON Stuff in it was MISSING? WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN?
F4e mem patch manual#
This is where the fun started - I did a Manual Short Scan - NOTHING SEEMED TO HAPPEN then suddenly the System Crashed to BSD! I did a live Update and Norton created the Folder and and The New App on the Desktop, I rebooted, then I opened the New NIS and did an Manual Update, after the Update it said it needed the Patch, I did another Manual Update it did some more Updatesīut said it needed to do the Patch again, so I ran the Manual Update until it ran out of Updates ( but still said it needed Patch).
Why I suspect Norton is the problem - is that I have Never had this situation until this Update. I am not so concerned about the Patch Update Problem as it appears to have gone away since the recovery from the Crash.īUT I am very concerned about the Crashes ( 8 or 9 of them ) since the Updatre to Latest Version of NIS? A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. Source: Microsoft-Windows-WER-SystemErrorReporting I have got some Memory.dmp files but they are too big. However the main problem is that after running the Live Update and then running the Quick Scan the Win7 32bit SYSTEM willĬRASH to Blue Screen of Death, this has happened about 10 times now!Īdditional information about the problem: NIS keeps telling me that it has to do a Patch Update, so I run Update and it says it has done it then it says it has to do it again? I recently Updated my Long Standing NIS to NIS2014 Version 21.1.0.18 and since then I have had about 10 System Crashes to
